How to cancel a QRdy tracker

A QRdy tracker is a live status session. Cancelling it stops the tracking page from updating. It does not affect the underlying order, repair, or booking at the business.

This distinction matters. If you want to cancel the actual work, you need to contact the business directly. This guide explains what tracker cancellation does and how each side handles it.

Important distinction

Cancelling the tracker vs cancelling the job

QRdy manages the status tracking side of a service. It does not manage the order, repair, or booking itself. These are two separate things.

Cancelling the tracker

Stops the live status tracking session. The status page will show a cancelled state and will no longer update. The actual work at the business is unaffected.

Cancelling the actual job or order

This is a separate conversation with the business itself. Call them, message them, or visit in person. QRdy has no ability to cancel a repair, booking, or order on your behalf.

For customers

How to cancel from your status page

If the cancellation option is available on your status page, you will see it near the bottom of the page. Tapping it will close your tracking session.

After cancellation, the page will show a cancelled state. You will no longer receive notifications if you had them enabled.

If you also want to cancel the actual order, repair, or booking, you need to contact the business directly. Cancelling the tracker does not do this automatically.

For operators

How to cancel a tracker from the dashboard

In your dashboard, each active job card has options for moving the job forward and for ending the session. If a customer is no longer coming in, the job was entered in error, or you no longer need to track it, you can cancel the tracker from that job card.

Once cancelled, the job moves out of your active view and into History. The customer-facing page reflects the cancelled state. Any future work on that job will not be visible to the customer on the old status page.

If the customer later comes back and you need to track progress again, they can scan the QR code at your counter to start a new tracker for their job.

Questions about tracker cancellation

Does cancelling my QRdy tracker cancel my order or repair?

No. Cancelling the tracker only stops the live status tracking page. It has no effect on the underlying order, repair, booking, or job at the business. If you want to cancel the actual work, you need to contact the business directly by phone or in person.

What happens to my status page after I cancel the tracker?

The status page will show a cancelled state. It will no longer update as the job progresses. If the business continues to work on your job, that progress will not appear on your page after cancellation.

Can the business cancel my tracker on their side?

Yes. The operator can cancel a tracker from their dashboard at any time. This might happen if a job was entered in error, if the customer has communicated they are no longer coming in, or if the business no longer needs to track that particular job.
