How to scan a QR code to open your status page

When a business uses QRdy, they display a QR code at the counter. Scanning it takes you to a check-in form where you enter your name. From that point, a live status page shows you exactly where your job stands as it moves through each stage.

There is no app to download and no account to create. Your phone camera does the scanning and your browser opens the page.

How to scan

Scan to status page in six steps

The whole process takes about twenty seconds the first time and less after that.

  1. 1

    Open your phone camera

Use the built-in camera app on your iPhone or Android phone. You do not need a separate QR code scanning app.

  2. 2

Point it at the QR code

Hold your phone about 20 to 30 centimetres from the code. Keep it steady for a moment. A link or notification will appear on screen.

  3. 3

    Tap the link that appears

The link opens your browser automatically. You do not need to type anything.

  4. 4

Enter your name or reference number

The check-in form asks for your name or order reference. This is how the business identifies your job on their dashboard.

  5. 5

Choose how you want to be notified (optional)

You can opt in to browser push notifications, and depending on what the business offers, WhatsApp or email. This is completely optional. You can get your status page without choosing any notifications.

  6. 6

    Your status page opens

Your personal live status page loads immediately in your browser. It shows your name, current stage, and the stages that come next.

Keeping your page

How to come back to your status page later

Your status page is a regular URL that works in any browser. The simplest thing to do is bookmark it the moment it opens. That way you can tap the bookmark any time to check your progress without scanning again.

If you opted in to notifications, the link appears in every notification you receive. Tap the notification to go straight to your page.

If you closed the page, did not bookmark it, and have no notifications, you can ask the staff at the counter. They can look up your job in their dashboard and share the link directly.

Common questions

Questions customers ask

Do I need to download an app to scan the QR code?

No. Your phone camera can scan the QR code directly. Open your camera app, point it at the code, and tap the link that appears on screen. The status page opens in your browser without any downloads or signups required.

What if the QR code does not scan?

Try moving your phone slightly closer or further from the code, and make sure the area is well lit. If scanning still does not work, ask the staff member at the counter for the fallback link. They can give you a short code or direct URL that opens the same check-in page without needing to scan anything.

What happens after I enter my name?

Your personal status page opens immediately in your browser. It shows your name, your current stage, and the stages ahead. The page updates in real time as the business moves your job forward. You do not need to refresh it.

How do I come back to my status page if I close the browser?

The best approach is to bookmark the page as soon as it opens. If you opted in to notifications, the link is included in every notification you receive. If you closed the page and have neither a bookmark nor a notification, ask the staff at the counter and they can look up your job and share the link directly.
