How to set up QRdy for your business
Getting QRdy running takes under two minutes from first login to first live job. There is no technical setup, no integration work, and no training required beyond tapping a button when a job moves forward.
This guide walks through every step from creating your account to your first real customer check-in.
Setup steps
From signup to first live job
Follow these steps in order. Each one builds on the last and most take less than a minute.
- 1
Create your account
Go to alwaysqready.app and sign up with your business email. QRdy uses magic link login, no password required. You will receive a sign-in link by email. Click it and your account is ready.
- 2
Name your workflow stages
The first thing you will do after logging in is name the stages that match your service. For a repair shop this might be: Checked in, In progress, Ready for pickup. You can add, remove, or rename stages at any time from the dashboard.
- 3
Get your permanent QR code
Once your stages are set, QRdy generates a permanent QR code for your business. This is the code you display at your counter. It never changes, so you only ever print or display it once.
- 4
Place it at your counter
Download the QR code from the QR Codes section of your dashboard. Print it, laminate it, or display it on a screen. Position it where customers will naturally see it when they hand over their job.
- 5
Do a test scan
Before your first real customer, scan the code yourself. Enter a test name and step through the flow. Check what the customer page looks like and how stage updates appear. This takes two minutes and makes the first real customer experience go smoothly.
- 6
Watch the first job appear
When your first real customer scans and checks in, a job card appears in your dashboard immediately with their name and the first stage. From that point, you tap to move them forward.
Dashboard overview
What you will see once jobs come in
The QRdy dashboard has four sections: Dashboard, QR Codes, History, and Settings. Most of your daily work happens in Dashboard.
Dashboard
Shows all active jobs. Each job card displays the customer name, current stage, and how long it has been active. Tap the stage button to move a job forward.
QR Codes
Where you download your QR code and manage your workflow stages. This is also where you can create additional QR codes for different workflows if you need them.
History
Completed and cancelled jobs are stored here, retained for as long as your plan allows. Useful for looking up an old job or checking a customer reference.
Settings
Business name, address, timezone, branding, plan management, admin passcode, and notification configuration all live here.
Common questions
What businesses ask during setup
Do I need a password to create a QRdy account?
No. QRdy uses magic link login. You enter your email address and QRdy sends you a sign-in link. Click it and you are in. There is no password to create, store, or forget.
How many workflow stages should I set up?
Three to five stages works well for most businesses. Too few and the status updates feel vague. Too many and your team will skip stages under pressure. A mechanic might use: Dropped off, Inspection, Repair in progress, Ready for pickup. A takeaway might use: Order received, Preparing, Ready to collect. Start with what makes sense for your busiest type of job and adjust from there.
Can I change my workflow stages after I have started using QRdy?
Yes. You can edit your stage names in the dashboard at any time. Changes take effect for new jobs from that point forward. Existing active jobs will continue to show the stage they were last updated to.
What does the QR code look like and how do I display it?
Your QRdy QR code is a standard square code you can download from the dashboard. Print it on paper, laminate it, or display it on a screen at your counter. You only ever need one code; it does not change, so you print it once and it works permanently.
Ready to stop answering the same status question all day?
QRdy gives customers a live page instead of another reason to call, text, or hover at the counter. Free to start. No credit card. Live in under a minute.
