How to manage your QR codes in QRdy

All QR code management happens in the QR Codes section of your dashboard. You can view existing codes, edit their workflow stages, create additional codes, and download them for printing or display.

What you can do

QR code management options

View existing QR codes

The QR Codes section lists all codes you have created. Each one shows its name, the workflow stages attached to it, and the download option for the code image.

Edit workflow stages

Select an existing QR code to edit its stage names. Changes apply to new jobs from that point forward. The QR code itself does not change when you update stages.

Create additional QR codes

Use the option to create a new code when you need a separate workflow for a different service type. Each code has its own stages and generates its own permanent QR image.

Download and display

Download the QR code image for any code at any time. Print it, laminate it, or display it on a screen. The downloaded image is the same permanent code and can be reprinted as many times as needed.

One or many

When to use multiple QR codes vs one

One QR code handles everything for the majority of businesses. If all your jobs go through roughly the same stages, a single code and workflow is simpler to manage and easier for customers to understand.

Additional codes make sense when you have meaningfully different service types with different stages. A garage might want one flow for a full service (inspection, parts, repair, ready) and a separate flow for a Warrant of Fitness check (check-in, inspection, ready). Each flow gets its own QR code displayed in the relevant area.

If you are unsure, start with one. It is easy to add a second code later if you find you need a different workflow for a specific service type.

Common questions

QR code management questions

Do I need more than one QR code?

Most businesses do fine with one. A single QR code works for all job types if your workflow stages apply broadly. Additional codes make sense when you have genuinely different service flows with different stages, for example a garage with separate workflows for servicing versus WoF checks.

Can I edit the stages on an existing QR code?

Yes. Stage names can be edited from the QR Codes section of your dashboard at any time. Changes apply to new jobs going forward. Existing active jobs continue to show the stages they were last updated to.

How do I print the QR code?

Download the QR code image from the QR Codes section of your dashboard. Print it on any standard printer. For a counter display, A5 or A4 works well. Laminating it protects against wear. For a screen display, the downloaded image can be opened full-screen on any device.
