How WhatsApp and email notifications work in QRdy

WhatsApp and email are optional notification channels you can choose during check-in. They are not required to use QRdy, and not every business offers them. This guide explains how they work and what to expect.

How it works

Choosing notifications during check-in

When you scan the business QR code and fill in the check-in form, you will see notification options. These may include WhatsApp, email, or browser push, depending on what the business has available.

All notification options are optional. If you skip them, your status page still works and updates in real time. You can check it directly any time.

If you choose WhatsApp, you will need to provide your WhatsApp number. If you choose email, you will need to provide your email address. These are used only to send you status updates for this job.

Availability

Not every business offers WhatsApp or email

WhatsApp and email notifications are only available when the business has a paid QRdy plan that includes those channels. If you do not see these options during check-in, the business is on a plan that does not include them.

Browser push notifications are available on all plans. You can enable them from your status page even if WhatsApp and email are not available.

You do not need to have WhatsApp installed to use QRdy. It is just one of several notification options, not a requirement.

Will every business using QRdy offer WhatsApp notifications?

No. WhatsApp and email notifications are only available if the business has a paid QRdy plan that includes those channels. If you do not see a WhatsApp or email option during check-in, the business is on the Free plan, which includes browser push notifications only.

Do I need WhatsApp installed to use QRdy?

No. WhatsApp is just one optional notification channel. Your status page works in any browser without WhatsApp. If you do not have WhatsApp or prefer not to use it, you can choose email notifications or browser push instead, or no notifications at all.

What will the notifications say?

Notifications include a link back to your status page and a brief update about your job. The exact message depends on how the business has set up their workflow stages.

Can I choose not to receive any notifications?

Yes. All notification options are optional during check-in. If you prefer to just check the status page yourself, you can skip all notification options. Your status page will still update in real time.
