What to do if you cannot scan the QR code

Move closer and steady your phone
Hold your phone about 20 to 30 centimetres from the code. Keep it still for a moment. Blurry or angled shots are the most common reason scanning fails.

Improve the lighting
QR codes need reasonable contrast to scan. If the room is dark or there is glare on a screen displaying the code, move to better light or ask to adjust the screen brightness.

Use your native camera app
If you are using a third-party camera or scanner app, switch to your phone's built-in camera instead. On most phones, just opening the camera and pointing it at a QR code is enough.

Ask for the fallback link
The business has a fallback code or a direct link that works without scanning. Ask the person at the counter. They can share it with you directly, and you can open it in your browser.
